Product Description : K&N 57-3050 Fuel Injection

The kit replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intake systems are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle's engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The filters on these kits are washable, reusable and easy to install with tools commonly available.

I got a great price and a set of intake works like a charm on my 06 Silverado. I have towed a trailer bed and a full cord of wood about 2 150 miles and still got 13 miles per gallon. I will definitely get more than 2-4 miles per gallon with a filter. I read the instructions before you start. It took about 10 minutes to remove the factory airbox. About another 15 to install the FEC. All went together very smoothly. I do not hear any noise under the hood, as said manual may be present. At idle and low speeds you do not really notice any difference in performance, but during the transition and at higher speeds you'll notice. Nice little boost in performance. Truck on-board computer reports, about 3 miles tenth better. Buckskin truck hit the road for a long period of time, and I imagine over time the gas will be a mile better. And as a side note, k & n air intake system looks really nice when installed under the hood.
