Seemed like a good plan, however disappointing within the execution.

When I ordered this, I assumed the airbox housing was k & n air intake system of anodized aluminum. It's not; k & n air intake system is a cheap-looking plastic. it's not the robust, versatile reasonably plastic, like that used on bike airboxes. It's k & n air intake system of a shiny, arduous plastic, that i believe could also be liable to breaking, cracking, and/or melting from the engine heat.

It's pretty massive, too; concerning 7-8"" diameter and concerning 11"" long. confirm you have got area for k & n air intake system if you get it, and confirm you are comfortable with k & n air intake system being plastic. i would not trust k & n air intake system close to something hot.

I sent mine back to Amazon and got a K&N filter, and can be creating my very own airbox.
